First Haircut.

It only took fourteen months for Gabriel's hair to grow long enough for a haircut. I decided that I wanted him to have the full experience. We considered letting Manuel cut it, but I was not ready for him to be bald if daddy made a mistake. There is a children's salon by our house. It was cool because he got to sit in an electric jeep as the chair. He got a picture and certificate for his first cut also. They are also nice enough to save the first lock cut. it is already in his baby book. I completely forgot about keeping his first unlock, until my neighbor reminded me of it. He did really good. He only fussed when he slipped in the jeep. He was trying to reach for the toy they gave him. We were so proud of him, and I took like fifty pictures. His hair looks just like Manuel's, nad acts just like daddy's. It does not do anything, but stay flat.

We went to Spring to spend the weekend with the family for Noah's second birthday. It was nice to see everyone, but apparently Gabriel was still contagious. He had had a nasty stomach virus. It was like the plague. It got everyone within a five yard radius of him . I ended up staying longer in Spring than I had expected to help take care of everyone. Unfortunately it hit Sebastian and Noah the worst. The boys had a lot of fun playing together once they started to feel better. It was really good for Gabriel to be around his cousins. He was able to pick up things from them. One good thing he learned was to drink from a sippie cup, the bad thing is that he learned to pout. All in all it was a great visit.

I started school again, so he is getting to spend a lot of time with his grandparents. When I pulled up yesterday he was sitting on the porch in the stroller with the puppy, while grandpa Angel was watering the yard. Afterwards the three of them went for a walk. It is so adorable how close they are, I love it. I am very blessed to be apart of the Angel family. If it was not for them I would not be able to finish school.

He is starting to talk a lot more. I wish it was coherent, but I think I can wait for that. He does spend a lot of time banging on the door talking to the dogs. We think he said Kaiya today. It is very exciting to see how much he is developing. He doe snot look like a baby anymore. He will not let us hold him too long. He is on the move. When we were at Sarah and Derek's house he learned to get up and down the stairs. He also leaned how to pout when he is getting in trouble. He had a great time with his cousins. I know he misses having them around. it was nice to see him playing with other kids. Noah also liked having someone to look after like Sebastian did to him.

Sebastian really wanted a picture of Lightening McQueen

Happy Baby

My son is a very happy baby. I love that anytime we are out, people come up to us to tell us how happy he is. Manuel was changing Gabriel in the bathroom at HEB and a man came up to him and said "I have been doing this for 41 years , and that is one happy baby. Keep doing whatever it is you are doing." I love that after everything he has been through, he is so happy.

It has been a very busy month for us. I just finished three summer school classes. I do not know what I was thinking when I did that. I did really good, so it's ok. Gabriel was very good about letting me get my work done. I really do not have much to complain about with him. He is a very good kid, unless he is trying to get up the stairs or unroll the toilet paper. He also decided that the laundry was meant to be thrown and not folded. He does listen very well.

He is crawling around like a pro now, and his speed depends on whether you have food or not. He has decided that anytime we have food, it is for him. We are trying to sit down at the table and serve him separate food from us because I do not want him trying to take food off of other people's plates. Table manners are not easy to teach, but we are working on it.

Gabriel is starting to clap, talk (he says mom, and I love it), climb the stairs, and walk along the furniture. Ever since he figured out he can crawl, he stopped wanting to watch. He loves dogs, especially when they bark. We have developed a good bedtime routine and we read three stories a night. We read three stories from his bible, God knows all about me, and then one of his other books. It is so cute because sometimes he will actually just sit there and listen. He likes to look at the books too. When the last story is done he will close the book. Last night he kept closing the book on Daddy, I think he was ready for sleep. It was pretty funny.

He has been spending a lot of time with his cousin Isabella, and I love it. I really want him to be close to his cousin's like I am. He went into the pool for the first time. He liked it until I dipped him in the water. We are getting ready to go spend a week and a half in Spring with Sarah and the boys. I am very excited about it. Sebastian is ready to play with Gabriel. He tells him that he wants to come to San Antonio to hug him. It is very sweet. A lot has happened, but I will let the pictures and video speak for themselves.
